The focus of all 4-H programs is the development of youth as individuals and as responsible and productive citizens. 4-H Clubs are one of the delivery modes used to accomplish this goal. If you are interested in joining a 4-H Club, please check out the opportunities currently available in Ashe County! Click the club name to visit each club’s landing page. If you do not see a topic of interest, please consider starting a 4-H Club.

Current Ashe County 4-H Clubs:

Ashe 4-H Gardening Club  – The Ashe 4-H Gardening Club introduces children to gardening through engaging classroom projects and hands-on experience in a community garden. Open to youth ages 5-18. Meets each Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in Creston, NC.

Ashe 4-H Hooves and Horns Club  – The Ashe 4-H Hooves and Horns Club will introduce children to equine and livestock through engaging learning opportunities and farm visits. Open to youth ages 5-18. Meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Locations vary. 

Ashe 4-H LEGO Robotics Club  – The Ashe 4-H LEGO Robotics Group gives youth the opportunity to engage in STEM projects through hands-on LEGO Robotics experience. Open to youth ages 5-18. Meets each Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in Jefferson, NC.

Ashe 4-H Shooting Sports Club  – The Ashe 4-H Shooting Sports Club provides a safe learning experience for all levels of shooters, both those interested in competition and those interested in learning a new sport. Youth learn marksmanship, the safe and responsible use of firearms, the principles of hunting and archery, conservation ethics and much more. Open to youth ages 8-18. Meets each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. spring, summer and fall in Laurel Springs, NC.
