Ashe County Pesticide Disposal Day
North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, in cooperation with the NC Cooperative Extension, Ashe County Center will offer a Pesticide Collection Day for residents in Ashe and surrounding counties. The local site manager will be Extension Agent Blake Williams.
Collection will be Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Agriculture Service Center parking lot (134 Law Enforcement Drive Jefferson, NC).
Nearly all pesticide products will be accepted. For liquid pesticide containers larger than 5 gallons or for unlabeled pesticides, please contact the Cooperative Extension Office for information before bringing to the collection event. Participants are asked to save any portion of the label to help identify the material to be disposed of. Unknown materials cannot be accepted.
No gas cylinders are accepted at the event; however, assistance information can be provided.
