Episode Forty: Chicken & Mushroom Shepherd’s Pie – I love finding a way to make recipes healthier. Although there are many variations of Shepherd’s Pie, the traditional ingredients include ground meat, gravy, and mashed potatoes. While those ingredients aren’t necessarily a bad choice, we can make them healthier by choosing leaner meats, low-fat milk in our gravy, and using olive oil instead of butter in our mashed potatoes.
